Abou Hashima’s steel unit has provided state national projects with 1.5 mln T in 3yrs

Egyptian Steel has supplied state ongoing national projects mainly the country’s new administrative capital with nearly 1.5 million tonnes over the past three years, senior sources in the firm said Tuesday.

The firm, owned by business tycoon Ahmed Abou Hashima, has started trial operations at a new factory built in the Suez Canal economic zone in Ain El-Sokhna, the sources further told Amwal Al Ghad.

Egyptian Steel hopes to start full operations at the plant in the coming few weeks, with a capacity of 830,000 tonnes of billets and 530,000 tonnes of rebars, they said.
