Egypt's second largest property developer Palm Hills Developments (PHD) unveils that it expects to launch sales of the first phase of its flagship Waha Compound within the first half of 2018. Yasseen Mansour, Palm Hills’ chairman, said Tuesday that his company has signed an agreement with the county’s New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) to develop Waha Compound. “The project is located in the west of Cairo, on a space of 12.6 million square metres,” Mansour further stated. With middle-income housing a priority for the government, the Housing Ministry has thrown their support behind the show. Egypt’s Ministry of Housing is launching and executing 677 service buildings in the new cities, as part of the country’s social housing project, said Minister Moustafa Madbouly of Sunday. “The ministry has completed 98,000 residential units in 18 new cities within the social housing project,” Madbouly further noted. The Housing Ministry is currently carrying out other 217,000 residential units, the Egyptian official stated, adding that 41,000 units are being launched in six new cities. Moreover, Abdel Moteleb Mamdouh, vice-chairman of New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), referred that the country is implementing 36 mosques in various areas among the social housing project, while 23 churches are being executing in the new cities. Egypt’s Concept Real Estate Group unveils it has pumped 20 million Egyptian pounds ($1.1 million) into the construction works of the first phase of its flagship Siela in North Coast. Ehab Abou El Magd, Concept’s chairman, said Monday that his company seeks to participate in four real estate exhibitions within the upcoming two months. The project, which is established over 10 feddans, will encompass aqua park and waterfalls as well as a bunch of services,” Abou El Magd stated, adding that these services are being developed in three phases, with investments of 400 million pounds. “Siela is set to include 650 chalets, on various spaces ranging between 50 square metres and 120 square metres and with a built-up area of 28 percent,” the Egyptian official further noted. Abou El Magd elaborated that Concept has executed a number of infrastructure works and a part of other concrete works of the building worth 20 million pounds as part of the project’s first phase. “The first phase will be delivered in 2019, while the second phase will be handed over in 2020,” Abou El Magd said, referring that Concept has marketed 90 percent of the two phases. Number of Egypt’s state-owned construction firms increased its business volume to 24 billion Egyptian pounds ($1.3 billion) during 2016, a source with knowledge at HCCD told Amwal Al Ghad on Monday. The source further told that this increase is due to carrying out a bunch of national projects. “The total business volume of public sector firms includes the implementation of infrastructure, construction, and residential works as well as service facilities,” he stated. The source added that the 24 billion pounds include residential projects in 2016 as well as road, bridge, and tunnels flagships worth 7.8 billion pounds. The sum of 533.3 million pounds was contributed to educational institutions in addition to an amount of 302 million pounds was granted to buildings and institutions for medical usage, he referred. Egypt's property developer Egygab Holding Company targets launching Grand II project in El Shorouk City within the first quarter of 2018, said chief executive Mohamed Gaballah on Sunday. Grand II is with expected revenues of 1.3 billion Egyptian pounds ($73.2 million) and initial investments of around 800 million pounds, Gaballah further told Amwal Al Ghad. “The flagship is established over 25 feddans, at a value worth 176 million pounds,” the Egyptian official said, referring that it will include 50 town houses and 450 housing units, on spaces ranging between 140 square metres and 220 square metres. “The project is to be implemented in four phases at the beginning of next year and to be delivered within four years,” he noted. Egypt's El Batal Group for Housing and Development unveils is executing its biggest residential project Rock Eden Compound in Sixth of October City, at a cost totalling one billion Egyptian pounds ($56.3 million). Emad Doss, El Batal’s chief executive, said Sunday that Rock Eden is established on a total space of 34 feddans. The flagship is being carried out in four construction phases. “Rock Eden will include around 1,000 various units,” Doss further stated, adding that these units are to encompass 600 housing units and 400 villas. Egypt’s General Construction Company- Rolin announces that it is planning to increase its total business volume to 500 million Egyptian pounds ($28.1 million) at the end of June 2018. This comes as part of the company’s scheme to expand its business in the local market within the upcoming period, said Fathy Sayed, Rolin’s managing director, on Sunday. Moreover, Sayed further added that Rolin also seeks to expand its business in the county’s new administrative capital within the next year, through carrying out number of infrastructure flagships there. “The company competes to implement a bunch of utilities works in various governorates,” the Egyptian official stated, referring that Rolin focuses on executing new real estate projects and developing its land plots in Cairo within 2018. A number of Egypt’s construction firms working in New El Alamein City, northwest of Cairo, seeks to start carrying out the biggest commercial complex there at the end of December 2017. The complex will include a bunch of commercial, service, and entertainment projects, sources with knowledge told Amwal Al Ghad on Sunday. Two firms have so far won a mandate to execute the complex, the sources further stated, adding that other 11 firms have been mandated to implement residential towers. In addition, the sources referred that 11 local firms have been assigned with carrying out six giant residential towers in the first phase of New El Alamein City. Egypt’s state-owned Arab Contractors, Orascom Construction, Hassan Allam, Redcon Construction, Dorra Group, and SIAC have been tasked with executing the works in the city. More»
