Egypt’s stat-owned El Shams for Housing and Development Company unveils it plans to complete developing the fourth phase of its flagship Gardenia Compound in Sixth of October City within June 2018. Mahmoud Maghawry, El Shams’ chairman, said Saturday that the fourth phase is with total cost estimated at 400 million Egyptian pounds ($22.6 million). “The fourth phase will witness the implementation of 85 residential buildings,” Maghawry stated, adding that it is to include around 800 units, on spaces ranging between 120 square metres and 250 square metres. The Egyptian official further referred that El Shams also seeks to launch the semi- furnished fifth phase of Gardenia, which is the company’s biggest projects, within the upcoming period. “The company targets carrying out a major housing and administrative project in the county’s new capital city,” Maghawry noted. Egypt's Ministry of Housing will launch a number of land plots in New El Alamein, northwest of Cairo, and New Mansoura cities within the first quarter of 2018, assistant to the Minister of Housing Khaled Abbas said on Monday. The launch will take place after all infrastructure and facilities works in the two cities conclude, Abbas said during a session on the real estate industry at the CEO Thoughts Conference. State-affiliated the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) is considered the largest real estate developer in the world as it now works on 300,000 feddans, Abbas said. New Mansoura City launched in August after President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi issued a decree to establish it. Under that decree, a space of 5,104 feddans has been transferred from state ownership to NUCA’s. The decree stipulates that 15 percent of the project’s sales shall be to the benefit of the Dakahlia governorate. The city will comprise of tourist villages, as well as economic, average, and above-average housing, abiding by the old city’s features in terms of the buildings’ height, color, designs, roads and infrastructure. New El Alamein City is an ambitious milestone in the ministry of housing’s development portfolio as it re-defines the country’s coastal areas and connects Borg El Arab with Matrouh and other coastal cities, alongside accommodating several economic and touristic beneficiaries. Egyptian state-run El Shams for Housing and Development Company revealed Sunday that its board member has agreed in principle to purchase 50 feddans in the county’s new administrative capital. The company further added that the board also initially approved to sell 24 land plots in Sixth of October City. During the first nine months of 2017, El Shams’ profits rose by 27.6 percent to reach 48.35 million Egyptian pounds ($2.7 million) from 37.9 million pounds during the same period in 2016. More»

Egypt’s Construction and Design Company (CONSTEC) targets business volume estimated at one billion Egyptian pounds ($56.3 million) within 2018, said its managing director Ashraf Abdel Hakim on Sunday. Abdel Hakim further stated that CONSTEC also seeks to expand its business volume and sign deals to implement in number of infrastructure, network, and renewable energy flagships as well as industrial projects in Suez Canal Axis. “The company is negotiating to execute infrastructure works and touristic resorts projects, at costs worth 350 million pounds,” the Egyptian official noted. In 2017, Abdel Hakim added that the company signed a contract with number of property developer firms to implement various residential flagships of 400 million pounds in Fifth Settlement district and Sixth of October City in favour SODIC and Hyde Park. Egypt’s state-owned construction firm Hassan Allam announces it has signed contracts to carry out four sanitation projects in number of governorates, at costs exceeding 270 million Egyptian pounds ($15.2 million). A source with knowledge told Amwal Al Ghad on Monday that the four projects come as part of the company’s expansion scheme to implement more infrastructure flagships and increase its business volume in the local market. “The fully-fledged utilities and sanitation projects are distributed in Cairo, Giza, Sharqia, and Kafr El Sheikh governorates,” the source further said. In addition, he added that Hassan Allam is currently executing number of major utilities projects and housing units in the county’s new administrative capital. “The company is carrying out the Ministry of Justice's building at the ministerial district,” the source further stated, referring that the Hassan Allam expects that the building’s cost will worth more than one billion pounds. Egypt’s New Administrative Capital Company for Urban Development unveils that it has allocated 1,376 feddans in favour of 11 real estate firms in the first phase of the county’s new administrative capital project. Magdy Amin, chairman of real estate sector at New Administrative Capital Company, told Amwal Al Ghad on Sunday that his company has allotted 200 faddans for Misr Italia as well as 500 feddans for Talaat Moustafa Group Holding (TMGH). “Saudi Egyptian Construction Company (SECON) attained 70 feddans and Ammoun International for Investments obtained two land plots, on a space of 110 feddans,” Amin further stated. The Egyptian official added that Safwa Real estate also obtained two land plots; the first land is over 57 feddans, while the second land is over 50 faddans. New Administrative Capital Company also assigned and 150 feddans for military-owned Tiba Rose Assembly as well as 50 feddans for Mohamed Abdel Wahab Construction, 42 feddans for First Residence, and 40 feddans for Master Build Group, he noted. “Misr for Investment and Urban Development Company attained 42 feddans and Egyptian National Bank Association got 74 faddans,” Amin said. Egypt’s Ministry of Housing plans to complete the third phase of Beit Al Watan New Cairo, a project that allows Egyptian expatriates to own lands in their homeland, before the end of 2017, Minister Moustafa Madbouly said Wednesday.Number of developers finished building roads in eight districts, Madbouly further stated, adding that they have delivered various land plots in Sixth of October City. Beit Al-Watan comes as part of the country’s scheme to bridge a gaping budget deficit and to attract much-needed foreign currency, as this project is targeting Egyptian expats who are paying the value of acquired land plots in foreign currency.
