EFSA to discuss the future of microfinance at 2nd Microfinance Egypt Forum

The issuance of the microfinance law last year was part of President Sisi’s strategic objective to improve economic prosperity by alleviating poverty, increasing financial inclusion and developing the SME sector.
Some of the biggest influencers in Egypt’s microfinance sector, including the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority, Microfinance Federation, Alexandria Business Association, Tasaheel Finance, First Microfinance Foundation and Tanmeyah Microenterprise Services will gather at the 2nd Microfinance Egypt Forum to discuss the next steps in developing the microfinance sector in Egypt.

The 2nd Microfinance Egypt Forum is taking place from 21-24 March 2016 at the Nile Ritz-Carlton Cairo, Egypt, and will include practical case studies, technical presentations, and a 2-day certified microfinance course by Frankfurt School of Business & Finance. Key topics to be discussed at the forum will include raising capital from banks or microfinance funds to seed MFI, complying with EFSA capital regulations, and modern means of loan collection.
