EGX Losses EGP 576 Mln on Wednesday’s Closing

On Wednesday’s closing session, the EGX incurred losses of EGP 576 million as the capital market amounted to EGP 342.266 billion.

The main index, EGX 30 sagged 0.13% to close at 4672.94 p. EGX20 went up 0.15% to close at 5407.16 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 dropped 0.27% to close at 425.36 p. Price index EGX100 fell 0.39% to close at 748.05 p.

Traded volume reached million 72.212 securities worth EGP 254.297 million, exchanged through 14.720 thousand transactions.

This was after trading in 169 listed securities; 73 down and 69 up while 27 keeping their previous levels.

Egyptians were net buyers seizing 63.78% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 38.221 million, excluding the deals.

On the other hand, the non-Arab Foreigners and Arabs were net sellers seizing 27.17% and 9.04% respectively, with a net equity of EGP 33.655 million and EGP 4.566 million, excluding the deals.
