China’s MCC to establish a theme park in Egypt’s new capital city

Egypt signed Thursday a memorandum of understanding with Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd. (MCC) to design, finance, and establish a theme park in the Egyptian new capital administrative city.

MCC, one of the longest-running iron and steel construction enterprises and the pioneer and main force of the Chinese iron and steel industry, will perform the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) works for the theme park. The MoU was signed by the Egyptian Minister of Housing Moustafa Madbouli.

It will be a Disneyland-like theme park, situated on an area of 600 feddans, and will be completed between two and three years, to be

MCC officials offered a partnership in the maintenance and management of the project after completing its execution. In addition to carrying out other works such as water, waste water and power stations.

Metallurgical Corporation of China is a major contractor for the Resorts World Sentosa project, including a Universal Studio theme park, in Singapore.
