Egypt Participates In Arab Insurance Conference

Egypt is participating in the 29th Conference of General Arab Insurance Federation in Marrakech, Morocco from 21st to 23d May, 2012.

Abdel Raouf Kotb, chairman of Insurance Federation of Egypt (IFE), announced that he will give a talk in the conference about Egypt’s January revolution and how it affected insurance market in the country.

In addition, IFE will apply to host 2014 Conference of General Arab Insurance Federation in Egypt. Kotb said that if the offer is accepted, Egyptian market will prove its competitiveness and ability to organize large conferences as happened in the Afro-Asian Conference in which 700 participated.

IFE applied earlier to host this conference in 2008 and 2010.

It is worth mentioning that the Conference of General Arab Insurance Federation is being held each two years in one of the Arab countries members at the federation. Jordan hosted the conference in 2010 for the seventh time.
