Egypt seeks to secure $100 mln to finance slum upgrade schemes – minister

Egypt’s Ministry of Housing is planning to obtain $100 million from international development partners this year to develop slums, minister Moustafa Madbouly said Sunday.

Madouly made these remarks after signing a grant agreement with the African Development Bank (AfDB), adding that the Egyptian government is seeking to end informal settlement problem within two years.
