Egyptian Embassy in Beirut backs Lebanese Tourism in Egypt

The Egyptian embassy in Beirut jointly with Egypt Air office and Tourism companies are exerting intensive efforts for backing Lebanese tourism in Egypt. This is after the slump in tourism during the second half of 2011 comparing with the same period in 2010.

The Egyptian ambassador to Lebanon Mohamed Tewfik said that there are positive indicators for returning tourism from Lebanon to Egypt to its normal rates during the coming months. This is due to the facilities that the Egyptian embassy provides for reactivating and encouraging the Lebanese tourists to travel to Egypt. He mentioned that this reactivation represented in increasing the tourists numbers who will come to Egypt during the Easter period; as 7 (Charter) planes are being rented for flights from Beirut to Sharm Al Sheikh, in addition to the regular flights.
