Egyptian stock market opens Tuesday in green

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opens Tuesday’s trading session up on the back of local and Arab buying.

By 10:20 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 0.07 percent, to 16,231.85 points.

The EGX70 index added 0.52 percent to 804.99 points, while the EGX100 index went up 0.32 percent to 2,025.07 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index edged up 0.36 percent to 2,721 points.

Trading volume amounted to nearly 4.7 million shares exchanged at a turnover of 14.4 million Egyptian pounds through 422 transactions.

Foreign investors were net sellers with 555,290 pounds, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with 459,800 pounds and 95,400 pounds, respectively.
