Egypt’s banking sector makes achievement in financial inclusion trend: Ezz Al-Arab

The trend towards financial inclusion and electronic banking services have become imperative in the light of the global variables towards reducing cash transactions and increasing reliance on digital services, according to Hisham Ezz Al-Arab  chairman and managing director of Commercial International Bank.

He stressed the importance of the directions embraced by the government and the banking sector to achieve the financial inclusion, adding that Egypt’s banking sector has made great leap towards financial inclusion.

He made these comments during his participation during the opening session of Payment, Fintech and Digital Inclusion Fair and forum for the Middle East and Africa ( PAFIX 2018),  which is in its in its 5th round.

He added that the Egyptian banking sector had made great leap in developing its infrastructure over the past years, seeking the coming period to expand electronic services to serve the state’s strategy towards reducing cash transactions.
