Egypt’s GUPCO ups crude oil production to 76,500 barrels/day

Gulf of Suez Petroleum Co – GUPCO, a joint venture between the Egyptian Government and BP Plc, has recently boosted its crude oil production to around 76,500 barrels per day, its chairman announced Tuesday.

The company has drilled 15 new wells and now  operational with daily initial production of around 14,000 barrels of oil, GUPCO’s chairman Nabil Salah El Din stated.

GUPCO successfully completed the manufacture and installation of a new marine platform in the Hilal offshore field, while helped in drilling three new wells with daily production of 4,000 barrels in Tor Sinai, Salah El Din said.
