Housing Ministry, Egypt Grand Mufti to Review Channeling Zakat Funds Tomorrow

 Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab, Egyptian Housing Minister will meet tomorrow Dr. Shawqi Allam, the grand Mufti of Egypt to study the possibility of channeling Zakat funds in order to provide residential units for the social housing project.

The Minister said it is necessary for the country to build the project with its funds, but also being looked into the catalysts, whether from the citizens or the businessmen within the framework of the social role for providing housing units to citizens who are unable to provide.

Mahlab added in the press conference which held yesterday regarding the approval of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) to allocate 14 K feddan to Sohag governorate in order to boost the number of units.
