Egypt’s Shares Gain EGP1.5 bln At Closing, EGX 30 Jumps to 5765

Egypt’s stocks maintained their upward trend posting gains totaled EGP 1.5 billion on Monday. The benchmark index closed at EGP 381.594 billion.

The Egyptian Exchange indices were wavering in green notes during the closing session of Monday.

Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 inched up by 0.69% to close at 5765pts; while the EGX20 rose by 0.85% to end at 6755p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 increased by 0.67 % to conclude at 495p. The price index EGX100 advanced by 0.83 % to finish at 829p.

The capital market has closed at EGP 381.594 billion on Monday.

Traded Volumes & Trades

Through the closing session of Monday, the trading volume has reached 94 million., it hit EGP 373 million, exchanged through 22 thousand transactions.   

Also during the closing session, 171 listed securities have been traded in; 38 declined, 103 advanced; while 30 keeping their previous levels.

Investors’ Activity
Egyptians and Arabs backed EGX’s gains as they remained net sellers seizing 3.16% of the total market, with net equities of EGP 909 K, excluding the deals.

Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net buyers seizing 3.16%%, 82.77% respectively ,with EGP 6 million and EGP 5 million excluding the deals.
