Expo Authority gains $124K since 1st day of Cairo International Fair- official

Egyptian Expo and Convention Authority (EECA) gained 1.1 million Egyptian pounds (US$123,873 thousands) since the first day of the 49th Cairo International Fair(CIF), EECA Chairman Mohamed Mahmoud Samy said Sunday.

The CIF kicked off on March 16, 2016 and received 250,000 visitors until last Friday, the chairman said, adding that the fair is expected to host massive number of visitors next week.

CIF was set to end on 25 March 2016 but Trade and Industry Ministry has extended it until 1 April 2016.

Samy clarified that the approval of trade minister Tarek Qabil to lower participation value for exhibitors to 25 percent during the additional week has participated positively in receiving more consumers.
