Gold Steadies in Egypt, 21-Carat Hits EGP267

Gold prices in Egypt steadied by the beginning of this week. On Sunday, the Twenty-four carat gold is sold for EGP 306.01; while the widely-spread in Egypt Twenty-one carat gold scored EGP 267.78.

The 18-carat gold reached EGP 229.55 today; while the gold pound hit EGP 2142.24.

From his side, Mr. El-Sayed El-Sharkawy – chairman of gold traders chamber of Alexandria – told Amwal Al Ghad that the prices of gold metal in Egypt witness upward stability, following the global bourses’ high trends recorded last Friday, in which the gold futures hiked to US$ 1352.7 per ounce representing an increase of US$ 9.
