Gold Steadies in Egypt Market, 21-Carat Hits EGP255.19

Gold prices in Egypt steadied on Thursday. The Twenty-four carat gold is sold today for EGP 291.63; while the widely-spread in Egypt Twenty-one carat gold scored EGP 255.19.

The 18-carat gold reached EGP 218.75 today.

Global gold prices are seeing nowadays a state of fluctuation driven by the US government shutdown, the gold futures  fell to US$ 1300 per ounce, Mr. Adel Rady, Chief Division of gold Chamber of Commerce in Giza told Amwal Al Ghad on Thursday.

He added that gold prices in Egypt closed higher on Wednesday by two Egyptian pounds, the Twenty-one carat gold scored EGP 255.19, compared to EGP 253 on earlier trading.
