Health Committee in the parliament recommends saving Protamine

Amwal Al Ghad:

Health and environment committee in the parliament headed by Akram Al Shaer assured on the necessity of offering bids approved of the ministry of health to revise and handle their defects.

In a report about the shortage of Protamine used in surgeries; especially open heart surgeries, the committee recommended saving the drug, as it gave the ministry a two weeks period to take actions to deal with this crisis, referring that it will follow up the ministry’s actions towards this matter, as it’s demanded to save 16 thousands ampoules of this drug.

The committee, in coordination with license and price committees, called for submitting the manufacturing and importing companies to social policy ensure that the health sector hasn’t any problem with medications shortage and this through imposing a set of incentives and sanctions on medicine companies.
