IMF Mission To Visit Egypt By Year-End: Finance Minister

Egypt has invited the international monetary fund before year end for consultation regarding economic situation and the reform program which was initiated by the government to tackle structural imbalances in the subsidy system and measures to reduce budget deficit, AlAhram gate reported.

The minister of finance Hany Kadry said that the IMG mission’s visit comes in light of the continuous consultations between the fund and the government and the meetings organized by the fund with its members in accordance with Article IV.

In Article IV consultations, the IMF experts assess a country’s financial and economic state of affairs.

Kadry added that the government would like to publish the results of the mission before the economic summit.
