IMF praises financial stability in Egypt

Jihad Azour ,Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department at the International Monetary Fund, praised the financial stability achieved by Egypt and its economic reform programme.

Azour has made those comments during his speech at the 23rd  annual Arab Banking Conference 2017 that has begun on Thursday in Beirut  entitled” A Twinning Partnership: Reconstruction and Development”.

He  added that The Egyptian government is playing an important role in strengthening the investment climate and business environment.

the conference which will be on 23-24 November, aims to highlight the role of Arab banks in financing reconstruction and development, through long-term mechanisms, and to benefit from bank liquidity surpluses to create new funding mechanisms.

It also aims to discuss the challenges of development management in the Arab region.

The theme of this conference will focus on the main topics that could draw a roadmap for all those involved in reconstruction and development, and for all investors, especially Arab banks, sovereign Arab funds, and regional and international bodies and institutions.
