KIA plans boosting sales in Egypt to 20,000 cars in 2016

KIA Motors Corporation EIT- Egypt plans boosting sales volume in the Egyptian market to 18,000-20,000 cars during 2016, Senior Marketing Manager Sherif Fahim told Amwal Al Gahd Thursday.

He said that the company has sold around 15,000 cars during 2015 despite the economic turbulences that Egypt witnesses.

The official pointed out that the increase in dollar prices will lead autos’ prices to rise by 15 percent.

In 2015, auto sales in Egypt witnessed a growth of 10 percent due to the unstable currencies prices. Hence, banks were not able to meet factories’ needs.

Fahim stated that EIT plans to expand in auto services field within the upcoming period to be more closer to all KIA clients in all Egyptian governorates.

The 23rd Cairo International Motor Show-Automech Formula 2016 kicks off Wednesday at Cairo International Exhibition & Convention Centre from 16 to 21 March 2016.
