Launching “Microsoft Open Door” in Dubai

Microsoft, in collaboration with Dubai Internet City, on Monday kicked-off the Microsoft Open Door event in Dubai.

The two-day event brings the next generation of technology products and services to the UAE and aims at providing IT professionals with an opportunity to experience a range of soon-to-be-released solutions from Microsoft and its partners.

The UAE edition has coincided with Microsoft’s 20th anniversary in the Gulf region. To mark this milestone, Microsoft shared its business vision for the future and celebrated past achievements, reaffirming its commitment to the UAE and the GCC region.

The event also shed some light on the value and benefits that cloud computing bring to business and consumer communities in terms of cost-efficiency and productivity.

As part of their vision to promote job creation and local economic growth, Microsoft also encouraged IT professionals to equip themselves with the skills to enhance their expertise in cloud computing and virtualization through the Microsoft Virtual Academy, as Gulf News stated.

Speakers at UAE Open Door include Ahmad Bbin Humaidan, Director General of Dubai E-Government and Malek Al Malek, Managing Director, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Outsource Zone.
