Nermine Abdel Fattah named one of Egypt’s 50 Most Influential Women of 2017

Nermine Abdel Fattah, Managing Director of PR agency Excellent Communications D&N, has been chosen as one of Egypt’s 50 Most Influential Women of 2017, by Amwal Al Ghad Magazine.

The third edition of Amwal Al Ghad Annual Award was unveiled in a grand ceremony in Cairo on Sunday to honour the Top 100 Companies and the Top 50 Women Performing in Egypt of 2017.

The first-of-its-kind ranking event took place under the auspices of Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail in the presence of more than 800 attendees, including four state ministers, prominent CEOs of companies, public and private organizations as well as leading businessmen in Egypt.

On behalf of Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, Minister of Investment Sahar Nasr took part in the ranking ceremony in addition to Minister of Transport Hisham Arafat, Minister of Planning Hala al-Saeed, and Minister of Public Sector Affairs Khaled Badawi, as well as Egyptian bourse’s chief Mohamed Farid.

Since 2015, Amwal Al Ghad Award Ceremony has been conducting its yearly ranking of the top 100 companies listed in the local stock exchange as well as the 50 most influential women in the country.

The event seeks to recognise the contributions of Egyptian women in economy, support them to be more successful in the future and put an emphasis on their indispensable role in revamping the country’s different economic sectors, including banking, industry, real estate, communications, and entrepreneurship.

“Egyptian women are pushing the boundaries in unprecedented ways and their impressive accomplishments are shaping and changing our country for many other women.” Abdel Fattah said

“Having an annual event to honour the 50 most influential women conveys a crucial message that Egyptian women have proven their brilliance in leading several public and private organisations. Egyptian women give significant contribution to all the country’s GDP sectors.” She added.

Abdel Fattah’s interests are interdisciplinary, with supporting Egyptian women at their core. She has extensive experience in areas of Public Relations, advertising, organising conferences and exhibitions, as well as conducting media campaigns for more than 10 years. She received her B.A. in physics, electronics, and computer science from the American University in Cairo. Abdel Fattah has a Master of Electronics degree from the American University in Cairo.
