Sisi revamps Egyptian Higher Tourism Council

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi issued a decree on Tuesday to revamp state’s Higher Council for Tourism.

According to the decree , council’s Board of Directors  would be chaired by President al-Sisi and would include state’s Prime Minister, and ministers of defence, youth, foreign affairs, interior, local development, international cooperation, culture, communications and information technology, civil aviation, finance, antiquities, tourism, and investment.

Among its members, the council would also encompass chairperson of the Egyptian Administrative Control Authority (ACA), head of Egyptian Tourism Federation, in addition to two tourism experts chosen by tourism minister.

Moreover, the Higher Council would be convened every six months.
