UK is Egypt’s largest foreign investor with $ 5.6 billion investments

Britain is considered to be the largest investor in the Egyptian market with total investments worth $5.6 billion through 1450 firms and projects according to Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Qabil.

He asserted that there is much coordination between the officials in Egypt and Britain to boost trade and economic cooperation during the coming stage especially in light of the strategic partnership between both countries’ governments and business circles.

British Trade Envoy to Egypt arrived in Cairo on Sunday for a 5-day visit, heading up the largest British trade delegation in nearly 2 decades. The visit will focus on the sectors of oil and gas, education, infrastructure and health.

Over 50 companies will be taking part، including existing investors in Egypt such as Bombardier، Fujitsu، Mott MacDonald، and GSK، as well as companies looking to invest here for the first time.

The British ambassador to Cairo John Casson said his country is keen on strengthening the economic cooperation with Egypt.
