UNB Receives MRM Business Award

Union National Bank has won Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award in the finance category for the second time, having earlier received this honor for the 2008 cycle.

The Award was presented by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai to UNB CEO Mohammad Nasr Abdeen in a glittering ceremony at Madinat Jumeirah Dubai on 25th April 2012.

The MRM Business Award recognition comes within days of UNB winning two International accolades namely; “The International Socrates Award for the Best Enterprise” from the Europe Business Assembly and “The European Award for Best Practices 2012 in the Gold Category” from the European Society for Quality Research.

Abdeen emphasized that UNB’s notable achievements in the field of best practices and quality as well as its business growth wouldn’t have been possible without the visionary guidance and continuous support of Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan UNB Chairman and UNB board members and UNB’s family, customers and shareholders loyalty, creating a successful partnership leading to more accomplishments.

“UNB`s continued and steadfast commitment to Quality and Business Excellence is an enduring one. This latest honor encourages us to scale even greater heights to achieve excellence in service quality and customer satisfaction and we are proud to receive this prestigious award for the second time.

“UNB has created a strong culture of continual performance improvement and provided consistently superior services to its customers and delivered outstanding financial results over the years. In the process it has received various prestigious awards and accolades as testament to its strong customer centricity and service excellence standards. This award is yet another testimonial to UNB’s continued progress and distinguished achievement.” Added Mr. Abdeen

The MRM Award has been introduced to recognize and celebrate the success of firms that have contributed and continue to the economic development of the UAE. The criteria for assessing the applications for the awards focus specifically on the factors that lead to outstanding business performance.
