Egypt’s minister of housing follows up 175-bed hospital project in New Qena

Egypt’s Housing Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny said on Saturday that the ministry is finalising a new 175-bed hospital in New Qena governorate, alongside advancing water, wastewater, and road works in the city’s expansions, the Cabinet announced.

El-Sherbiny stressed the importance of continuous monitoring of national projects in new cities, ensuring implementation meets standards and is completed within set timelines, the statement added.

The hospital, which has reached 97 per cent completion, is expected to become a fully integrated medical service centre serving residents of New Qena and the surrounding areas, as stated in the release.

Officials inspected utility works in the first 600-feddan phase of the city’s eastern expansion, including drinking water, sewage, irrigation, electricity, and road levelling. They stressed the need to speed up work and maintain quality standards.
