11 firms vying to set up Intelligent Traffic System at Egypt new capital
Egypt has received offers from 11 companies in the running to win a bid to develop an Intelligent Traffic System (ITS) in the country’s new administrative capital.
The state-run Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD), the owner and developer of the new capital city project, has launched the bid, which entails establishing intelligent traffic signals, smart bus and electric car charging stations, among other services.
The companies vying to win the bid are Hassan Allam, Orascom Construction, Elsewedy Electric, Etisalat Misr, Telecom Egypt, Giza Systems, Fiber Misr Systems (FMS), MTI, alka-tec GmbH, Alkan, and SIS Telecom – Mohammed Khalil, ACUD’s chief technology officer told local press on Sunday.
