Fifteen Egyptian universities are among the leading 100 universities in the region, according to the rankings of the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) announced on Monday.
The QS, which is a global higher education analyst and compiler of university rankings, cited in a statement that those universities are leading in the region for research, student employability, and internationalisation.
“Cairo University is the most highly regarded university in the region among academics, while the American University in Cairo is among the top 20 regionally for the research output of its faculties,” the statement read.
The statement said that Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd University for Petroleum & Minerals is the region’s best university.

-Ain Shams University, 13th
-Alexandria University, 14th
-Mansoura University, 30th
