A delegation of 16 Egyptian agricultural firms is heading to Russia next January 18th, said Trade Minister Plenipotentiary of Egyptian Commercial Services Ali El-Leithi.
In a phone interview with Amwal Al Ghad on Wednesday, the Egyptian minister said the delegation would discuss boosting the North African country’s agricultural exports to Russia, to take an advantage of Moscow’s restrictions on Turkish imports.
The Egyptian government targets boosting the country’s agricultural exports to Russia by 15 percent this year, Amwal Al Ghad quoted El-Leithi as saying.
The Egyptian delegation is set to hold one-to-one meetings with some Russian firms, seeking to sign partnership deals and help the Egyptian counterparts to enter Russia’s market.
