Egypt’s Healthcare Authority has reported significant progress in the implementation of the Comprehensive Health Insurance System (UHIS) across the Canal Region. A total of 2.5 million Egyptian citizens have been enrolled, with operational costs surpassing 25.5 billion Egyptian pounds, according to a Cabinet statement.
A total of 36.6 million medical and therapeutic services have been provided across 157 healthcare facilities in the region, including 20 million in Port Said, 13 million in Ismailia, 1.9 million in South Sinai, and 1.7 million in Suez.
These achievements highlight the effectiveness of the Comprehensive Health Insurance system in delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare services to Egyptians in the Canal Region.
