2 contractors to start works on Egypt new capital’s 2nd residential district
Two construction companies plan to start executing the infrastructure works of the second residential district in Egypt’s new capital within the next period, an official source in one of these firms said on Wednesday.
At a total cost exceeding 1 billion Egyptian pounds ($56.7 million), the works will include a number of drinking water networks, sanitation lines, and gas pipelines as well as road projects, the source told Amwal Al Ghad.
Moreover, other construction works are expected to carry out more infrastructure works at the second residential district in the new capital, he added.
“The second residential district, which is spanning over 2,500 feddans, comprises of nearly 25,000 housing units,” the source said.
