3+ women killed every hour in Gaza -NGO ActionAid

More than three Palestinian women and girls are killed every hour in Gaza, Al Arabiya said on Monday, citing the global NGO ActionAid.

According to the NGO, females in Gaza are experiencing unprecedented levels of violence, with Gaza becoming the world’s most dangerous place for women right now.

They also said that women and girls in Gaza are getting killed and injured at a horrifying rate.

They are denied their basic rights to food, water, and healthcare, while experiencing immense psychological strain and trauma from living in constant terror for more than two months.

“Gaza is the most dangerous place in the world to be a woman or girl right now. The number of women and girls being senselessly killed in this violence rises by the hour,” Riham Jafari, Coordinator of Advocacy and Communication for ActionAid Palestine, said in a statement.

“Meanwhile every day is a desperate struggle for them to meet their most basic needs.” she added.

Every hour, at least two mothers are killed, moreover, every two hours, seven women are killed in the besieged Palestinian territory, doctors in Gaza told the organisation.
