Egypt received Saturday the third liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipment in Ain Sokhna port, oil minister Sherif Ismail affirmed.
The LNG shipments come within the framework of the Egyptian petroleum sector’s efforts to supply the electricity sector with its demands for fuel during summer.
Ismail assured his appreciation for the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) for successfully executing LNG importing procedures today.
Moreover, He added that the petroleum sector is now working on providing the local market with its needs of natural gas through contracting for a second gasification ship.
