71 Apartments Free from Encroachment in New Cairo
Cairo Security Directorate has launched an extensive campaign for removing encroachments on the apartments which have been illegally seized during the 25th of January Revolution.
According to Middle East New Agency, this campaign was held in accordance to the commands of Major General. Ahmed Gamal El-Din, Minister of Interior, and supervised by Major General Osama Al-Saghir, Assistant Minister of Interior for Cairo Security Sector, after considering the required security procedures and coordinating with the apparatuses of Cairo and New Cairo City. It was directed towards the so-called Hanager area located in the third compound, which is affiliated to New Cairo Police Office no.3.
71 apartments have been retrieved and were handed over to the Head of the Department of Housing, after forcing the inhabitants to leave the place along with their portables.
