758 people in New York died from coronavirus in last 24 hours
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo declared on Sunday that 758 people died from the coronavirus in the city during the past 24 hours.
The state has reported more than 750 deaths each day over the past several days. A total of 9,385 people have died from the virus in New York as of Saturday.
The number of people who are in intensive care units and receiving intubations went slightly up, and total hospitalisations also rose to 18,700, Cuomo said.
The rate of hospitalissation continues to drop as the state begins to slow the spread of the pandemic.
