Dubai Land Department launches property ad verification service
Dubai Land Department (DLD) along with the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) announced on Tuesday they had launched the new service, Madmoun designed for any real estate advertisement permit, effective as of April 24.
The service will be accessible through the Tarkheesi System by a quick response code (QR Code), in a way to modernize and develop real estate governance procedures and enhance investor confidence.
Real estate companies will be featuring the QR code on their printed and audiovisual ads, which will enable customers to quickly verify the ad’s authenticity and validity and that it is approved by RERA.
Customers can access DLD’s website to view the full ad information, including details about the advertising company, the property’s condition and specifications, and the link will be secured to prevent possible modifications.
“The service aligns with DLD’s strategy to make Dubai The World leader in Real Estate Investments, by harnessing technology to develop real estate products according the directives of the wise leadership. It also supports DLD’s mandate of achieving the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to generate new economic value from digital transformation towards achieving His Highness’ vision of consolidating Dubai’s position as a global capital of the digital economy and a key player in the global digital system,” said Marwan bin Ghalita, CEO of RERA at DLD.
DLD customers can scan the QR code on real estate ads to get quick information about the property’s authorized details and find out if its sold or rented, to ensure the protection of their rights and prevent fraud and unreliable transactions.
Real estate firms can activate the QR code through the Tarkheesi system, and they have to adhere to this service so they do not subject to any violation resulting, RERA said.
