Dr Abdallah Dahlan, head of the Saudi-Egyptian Business Council, denied what has spread about statements warn the Gulf investor of investing in Egypt after restoring its relations with Iran, and starting the diplomatic relations between Cairo and Tehran.
Dahlan told “Amwal Al Ghad” that Egypt has sovereignty to select allies, regardless other countries’ pressure; referring that the Egyptian Saudi relations should overcome the rumors of the success enemies.
He added that his statements were misrepresented, as he barely called on the Saudi and Gulf investors to inject new investments in Egypt. He said the KSA is that prime Arab country in Gulf region that helped Egypt after the revolution of 25 January.
Dahlan emphasized that Saudi Arabia can’t do without Egyptian employment. He added that there will be promising opportunities for investment in both countries; in the fields of petrochemical industries in Egypt, besides making use of the Egyptian lands in agriculture to achieve food security for both countries.
