Egyptian Arab Contractors’ (AC) branch in South Valley has signed contracts to execute new projects worth 640 million Egyptian pounds ($35.8 million) in Upper Egyptian governorates of Aswan, Luxor, and Qena.
The state-owned construction firm’s branch will implement a hypermarket of 192 million pounds in New Tiba City, northeast of Luxor, in favour of New Tiba City Authority, AC’s chairman Mohsen Salah said Sunday.
“The flagship (hypermarket) is a service and commercial buildings, which will be established on a space of 10 feddans and will include hyper, cinema, mall, and administrative buildings as well as commercial shops,” Salah further added.
As part of the scheme of the state’s Housing Ministry to develop Upper Egypt’s governorates, the Egyptian official said that AC has also recently signed a new agreement to complete a number of sewage stations estimated at 280 million pounds in Qena.
AC also signed another contract with the country’s New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) to establish the second phase of a drinking water station worth 168 million pounds in New Aswan City, Salah referred.
