The Africa Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank)’s cooperation portfolio in Egypt has reached $3.4 billion during the period from January 2015 until June 2016, the bank’s president Benedict Oramah said on Thursday.
Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr received Oramah in Cairo on Thursday to enhance cooperation between Egypt and the African export bank and to support regional integration in Africa.
Afreximbank is willing to support Egyptian companies and industries to be exported to Africa, Oramah said.
Within this framework, Nasr invited the bank to contact the Egyptian Ministry of Transportation and the General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone due to its importance in connecting Egypt and Africa.
