Vitol, along with its subsidiary Vivo Energy, plans to allocate over $550 million by 2030 towards developing infrastructure to support cleaner cooking practices in Africa, Reuters reported on Tuesday.
This investment will encompass the establishment of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) infrastructure, spanning from marine terminals to the provision of high-quality cylinders necessary for the safe distribution of LPG. Additionally, Vitol highlighted its commitment to invest in clean cooking carbon projects during a clean cooking summit in Africa held on Tuesday.
