Alaa Al Sakty, Head of Badr Investors Association, and Leader of Egyptian Investors Team in Ethiopia, said he is negotiating at the current time with a number of Egyptian importers as well the Egyptian government to have transactions for importing Ethiopian sesame within the upcoming period, in the framework of the general plan prepared by Badr Investors Association to promote the level of trade exchange between Egypt and Ethiopian market.
In his statements to Amwal Al Ghad, Alaa Al Sakty has elaborated that the average price of ton of Ethiopia sesame records US$ 1300, compared to US$ 1420 per ton from any other country; in addition to the high quality of the Ethiopian sesame that has a high level of oil.
Importing Ethiopian sesame, rather than any other global markets, provides US$ 120 per ton for Egypt, Al Sakty said.
