In his anticipated visit to Germany, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is to sign several significant agreements in sectors of energy, new and renewable energy and oil, Cairo plenipotentiary minister to Germany said Saturday.
The agreements will be signed on the sidelines of the German-Egyptian Business Forum.
According to Egypt’s Plenipotentiary Minister Mohammed Khalaf, President Sisi will also sign an agreement that will enable Egypt to be a partner and honor guest country in the world’s biggest agricultural fair, scheduled next February in Berlin.
Khalaf has called all the Egyptian agricultural firms to participate and present Egypt in the agricultural fair.
Furthermore, he ensured the historic deeply-rooted relations between Germany and Egypt, expecting to witness more cooperation during the two countries’ businessmen meeting whether during joint committee sessions or the business forum.
Khalaf stated that one of Sharm El- Sheikh economic conference greatest results was Egypt’s agreement with Siemens for power generation projects.
The trade volume between Egypt and Germany has been witnessing a significant progress; Egypt’s exports to Germany reached €4.1 billion in 2013 and €5.1 billion in 2014.
Moreover, Khalaf expected that the joint meetings between the Egyptian and German businessmen will evolve into more future investments.
