Alexandria Port Authority’s revenues rise to EGP 4.803 bln in FY2019

Egypt’s Minister of Transport Hisham Arafat said on Tuesday the revenues of Alexandria Port Authority (APA) rose 4.803 billion pounds in the financial year in 2018/2019 from 2.458 billion pounds in the financial year 2017/2018.

Arafat added that the targeted surplus was 1.617 billion pounds but the port actually made 3.640 billion pounds, with a 225 percent increase than the targeted surplus.

The port succeeded in doubling the revenues and surplus for the second year in a row due to the new projects implemented in it, Board Chairman of the authority Medhat Attiya said.
