AlexBank: SME lending hit 3 bln Egyptian pounds at 2016-end

AlexBank, a member of Italian bank Intesa Sanpaolo, says small and medium-sized financing portfolio had recorded 3 billion Egyptian pounds ($166.1 million) by the end of 2016.

Dante Campioni, AlexBank’s managing director, further said in a press conference in Cairo on Sunday that his bank had recently raised its credit limits for the small and medium-sized enterprises.

AlexBank is keen to expand into offering SMEs in Egypt more financial consulting services, Campioni added.
