Alibaba pledges to invest $2 bln in Turkey
Alibaba Group Holding plans to invest $2 billion in Turkey, company’s CEO said to Turkey’s president Tayyip Erdogan in joint meeting.
In a meeting on Friday in Istanbul, with the Turkish president Tayyip Erdogan, Alibaba CEO Michael Evans said the company plans to invest $2 billion in Turkey via its Trendyol platform, according to a statement by the Turkish platform.
Chinese e-commerce giant Turkish unit; Trendyol order growth increases 47 percent year on year, while its gross merchandise volume climbed 110 percent , according to foreign press.
