Hundreds of protesters gathered at Arbeen Square in Suez late on Tuesday calling on Egyptian authorities to bring to justice to those responsible for clashes on Sunday, reported state news agency MENA.
The clashes saw 127 injured, 35 by birdshot, in a street battle between loyalists and opponents of Egypt’s deposed president Mohamed Morsi.
Among the protesters were members of the grassroots Rebel (‘Tamarod’) campaign, which instigated the 30 June protests against Morsi and led to his ouster by the armed forces on 3 July.
Both factions blame each other for the bloody violence on Sunday.
