Apache Inks Four Contracts To Develop Oil Discoveries In Egypt

Apache Corp., a major natural gas producer in Egypt, have signed four agreements with Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) for the development of a number of oil discoveries in the Western Desert.

Osama Al Baqli, head of Khalida, Apache’s local partner, said in a phone interview with Anadolu Agency that the new contracts are aimed to add these discoveries to the production network.

He expected the company’s production to increase by 10 million cubic feet of natural gas and 3 thousand bpd of oil daily as a first phase.
