Apple iPhone sales in China drop 30% in 1st week of ’24
Apple’s iPhone sales in China fell by 30 per cent in the first week of 2024, amid competitive pressures from domestic rivals like Huawei, Reuters reported on Monday.
This drop comes as a catalyst for a double-digit drop in smartphone shipments in the country during the same week.
The report also added that this fall in sales comes during an ongoing price reduction in China, with the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max discounted by 16 per cent.
The 30 per cent drop is part of a three per cent year-on-year decline in the company’s third largest market.
It also equated for 0.4 per cent drop in Apple’s market share.
