Egyptian leading construction firm, Arab Contractors has signed Saturday a contract to establish a subsidiary company in Kenya in a bid to expand its business in the African continent.
The contract has been signed by Arab Contactors’ chairman Mohsen Salah in a ceremony attended by Egypt’s Minister of Trade Tarek Qabil; Mahmoud Talaat – Egyptian ambassador to Kenya; and Ashraf Ibrahim – Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs of Egypt.
Salah has met with Kenya’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two countries in roads bridges and infrastructure sector and the company’s opportunities in the Kenyan market.
According to Ibrahim Mabrouk, the company’s head of East and West Africa, Arab Contractors is actively seeking to enter top African markets and establish a new road in Kenya in cooperation with one of the firms.
Arab Contractors (AC) is one of the leading construction companies in the Middle East and Africa. The company has over 77,000 employees work in collaboration with their customers, partners, and suppliers in more than 29 countries.
Moreover, the company’s business volume in number of African countries is estimated at US$ 3.2 million varied between road projects of US$1.7 billion, housing projects of US$718 million, infrastructure projects of US$ 350 million and bridges projects of US$37 million.
